Friction Test
Friction testing evaluates roller performance under continuous load, ensuring smooth rotation, minimal rotational resistance, and optimal energy efficiency during heavy-duty operations.
The rollers are operated at 1200 rpm and subsequently allowed to self-decelerate to a standstill.
The time elapsed is used to estimate the coefficient of friction, which shouldn’t be greater than 0.015 to qualify the product as fit.

Procedure
How the friction test is performed

High-Speed Operation
The roller is driven up to a constant rotational speed of 1200 RPM under continuous test load.

Apply Water Spray
Controlled water spray is applied to the roller and bearing areas using multiple spray nozzles.

Free Deceleration Measurement
Power is disconnected, allowing the roller to freely self-decelerate until it reaches a complete standstill.

Coefficient Calculation
The total deceleration time is measured to calculate the coefficient of friction, ensuring it stays at or below 0.015.
